Michael Ernest Calardo

Michael Ernest Calardo, age 69, died on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, after fighting for his life for 5 months in 4 separate hospitals. He went to the ER on October 18, 2021 unable to breathe. After triple bypass surgery and numerous complications, he was on a ventilator for most of the 5 months that he was hospitalized. He was eventually diagnosed with lung cancer which he was unable to receive treatment for due to his other health issues. His loving wife Eileen Calardo passed away 7 years ago. He is survived by his sister, Linda Halasa, who was with him through most of his journey. He also has a stepbrother, James Joyce, Sr., and his wife Gloria and their son James Joyce, Jr. Michael loved them all very much. He will also be missed by his neighbor and dear friend, Lee Roy Taylor, who was a constant companion to Michael and assisted him for the past 3 years.
