Survivors: Loving partner of 12+ years Irene Draeger. Sons: Dennis Lee Roe and wife Peggy, Thomas Allen Roe and wife Marion. Daughter: Michelle (Roe/Fredrickson/Sommars) Crenshaw and husband Michael. Daughter in Law: Kathleen (Kathy) Louise Roe Grandchildren: Christopher Lee Fredrickson, Kelly Suzanne Roe, Angela Dawn Roe, Tim Allen Roe, Hannah Kaye Sommars, Nicholas Andrew Sommars Great Grandchildren: Naomi Renae, Makena Brook, and Austin Riley Fredrickson. Our newest arrival 1-3-13, Teagan Christopher Carlson. Preceded in Death by wife of 55 years Kathleen Jean Roe, son Michael Bruce Roe, grandson Jon Michael Roe and beloved Irish Setters Penny I & II.
Born in Denver, CO; spent time in CA, FL, NV, ID. Retired in NV (Las Vegas) in 1982.
Activities: always physically active and enjoyed competitions of of all sorts - tennis, ping pong, running. For exercise he biked, swam and jogged, likely in preparation for a heavenly Ironman competition. Dad enjoyed running marathons and completed his first 26.6 mile marathon at the age of 56. He dedicated that race to his grandsons Jon Michael Roe and Christopher Lee Fredrickson
Places of employment/accomplishments: Dad was a test engineer for the Argonne National Laboratory, Idaho Falls, Idaho, Executive Assistant, Aerojet-General Corporation, NRDS, Jackass Flats, Nevada, Proposals Evaluator "A", Titan Missile Project and worked in program control and planning for the Apollo Engine Module program.

Personality traits: Bruce made friends of many. One of his valued quotes : "There are no strangers in the world, only people waiting to become friends." Once dad was your friend, he was a friend for life and loyal to a fault. He spent his retirement by doing cross word puzzles daily, enjoying a variety of music and spending time with loved ones, etc...
Dad is resting peacefully in God's grace while playing a prank on someone. Dad...give Mom, Michael and Jon our love as you wait for us to arrive. We love and miss you deeply.
